Roto-Shake Genie®
The Roto-Shake Genie® is a combination platform/tilt, shaker, rocker and specialized rotator that is able to mix tubes in different motions: rotating, rocking/shaking, rotating/rocking, rolling/rocking, or rotating/rolling. Or transform the unit into an orbital shaker with the optional 3-D Orbital Shaker attachment. The two-sided, easily removed 8 x 13.5¯ (20.3 x 34.3cm) stainless steel magnetic platform needs only a simple mechanical adjustment to convert from rotating to rocking or back again. Platform is magnetized to hold up to four metal clip plates per side, each holding same-sized or variably sized tubes for different mixing motions. Platform uses magnetic strips to accommodate up to two 6 x 6¯ (15.3 x 15.3cm) plastic bags per side, or a 12 x 12¯ (30.5 x 30.5cm) nonskid metal rocker tray for conventional rocker/shaker operations.
The Roto-Shake Genie will maintain its set speed from 32°F to 100°F (0°C to 38°C) and up to 95% relative humidity, making it ideal for use in cold rooms and incubators for complete and even soaking of membrane-based blot assays/washings. Cleaning and decontamination is easy. Rotating speed: 5 to 35rpm. Rocking speed: 10 to 70 cycles per minute. Rocking angle: ±10° from horizontal. Maximum capacity: 10 lb. (4.5kg).
