The MultiTherm shaker is a temperature controlled vortexer, useful for a variety of molecular biology applications. Speed, time and temperature settings are continuously visible on the LCD, simultaneously showing both actual and selected values. The Roto-Shake Genie® is a combination platform/tilt, shaker, rocker and specialized rotator that is able to mix tubes in different motions: rotating, rocking/shaking, rotating/rocking, rolling/rocking, or rotating/rolling. The Roto-Shake Genie will maintain its set speed from 32°F to 100°F (0°C to 38°C) and up to 95% relative humidity, making it ideal for use in cold rooms and incubators for complete and even soaking of membrane-based blot assays/washings. The Vortex-Genie 2T offers all the same features as the Vortex-Genie 2, including variable speed control, (which provides a range of operation from slow-speed shaking up to high-speed vortexing), and a multiple-position power switch that allows the operator to choose Touch On control or the Hands-Free continuous operation of the switch-activated start/stop mode. The Vortex-Genie 2T adds an integral timer: 1 to 60 seconds in the Touch On mode, 1 to 60 minutes in the Hands-Free mode. Action shuts off automatically after a set time in both modes. The Disruptor Genie Cell Disrupter is ideal for any application that requires extremely violent high-speed agitation, such as difficult glass bead procedures, cell disruptions or homogenizations of yeast cells, bacteria, plant and animal tissue. The multidirectional action agitates and vortexes simultaneously at high speed, producing greater yields in less time. The Disrupter Genie is simple to use. Just set the auto-off timer from 0 to 15 minutes, or set it to run continuously. The single high-speed agitation eliminates operator variability.

Optimized Lab Vortex Mixer System
Continuously variable speed makes the Vortex Mixer VX-200 useful for a variety of applications, from gentle mixing to resuspending pellets. The unit has a circular orbit, rather than the elliptical orbit found on many other vortexers. This allows a vortexing motion to be achieved even at low speeds, a task that cannot be accomplished with elliptical orbit units.
Counter Balance System
Many vortex mixers prevent excessive vibration with added weight or suction feet which hold the unit in position. Labnet's Vortex Mixer VX-200 utilizes an optimized counter balance system to minimize vibration during operation and prevent the unit from walking across the bench, even at high speeds. The Vortex Mixer VX-200 is lightweight and has no suction feet, allowing it to be easily moved from one place to another. The Vortex Mixer VX-200 can be operated in either touch or continuous mode. When in touch mode, the motion is activated by depressing the sample head and stopped by removing the pressure.
Continuous Lab Mixer Operation
If the unit is set in the on position, the Vortex Mixer VX-200 will operate continuously until turned off. The small footprint and portability of the Vortex Mixer VX-200 allow it to be used almost anywhere. The unit is safe for use in temperature controlled environments. The CombiCup head supplied with the Vortex Mixer VX-200 can be used with a single tube or a whole handful. The unique over molding technology used in the manufacture of the CombiCup provides a sturdy plastic core surrounded with nonslip TPE. Optional heads accept microplates, microtubes, PCR strip tubes,15 and 50 ml tubes and blood tubes. All heads are friction fit - simply pull up to remove and press down to replace.
Disruptor Beads allow for the optimal disruption of cells when using Genie shakers. They are available in a 0.1mm diameter size, intended for use with bacteria, or a 0.5mm diameter size for use with yeast and fungi. The durable, lead-free beads can be cleaned with detergents, moderate acid solutions or bleach, and they are also autoclavable. Disruptor Beads can also be frozen if needed. Beads are available in an 8-oz bottle.

Bead beater ideal for lysing, extraction, or homogenization applications, utilizing an aggressive vertical mixing motion.
