KIMAX® dishes have reinforced beaded edges to resist mechanical breakage. Dishes remain clear after repeated use in wet or dry sterilization cycles. Covers have a fused-on bright red ceramic enamel marking spot and inscriptions. Bottoms have white ceramic enamel inscriptions. The combination of different colors and wording permits quick and easy identification of the parts when sorting, selecting and assembling pairs. Bottom also has a vertical arrow on the side to precisely locate serial dilution starting points. Shelf packs contain twelve covers and twelve bottoms, which are packed in separate boxes. Lab-Tek Petri Dishes perform well in automatic dispensers due to complete flatness and uniform height, and are compatible with automated systems. A variety of sizes and styles are available. Deep Petri dishes allow for longer culture periods. Most are vented for gas exchange, and all are made from biomedical-grade polystyrene to strict quality-control parameters, ensuring an even distribution of media and organisms.
