The tube is supplied sterile, and although it is autoclavable, the polyethylene screw caps for the tube is not. The tube cap may be frozen at temperatures as low as -45˚C. Meanwhile, the conical tube itself is capable of withstanding temperatures from – 80 to +121 degrees Celsius.
