The Super-Nuova Hot Plates and Stirrers are precisely controlled with unique calibration, safety and convenience features for researchers in need of extraordinary performance, and a phenomenal price point. The hot plate temperature is controlled in 1.8F (1C) increments and is exceptionally precise in the temperature range below 212F (100C). User calibration of temperature provides the greatest accuracy for critical procedures. An external probe (included) provides ultimate control of solution temperature. Electronic temperature feedback keeps plate temperature constant and allows the use of metal vessels or sand baths. User defined over-temperature protection means the maximum plate temperature can be set below the flash point of heated liquids.

Convenience and safety features include "Top-Is-Hot" warning system (active until unit is below 122F (50C), even when the unit is off), temperature and stirring presets that work like a car radio's tuner (eliminating the need for pencil markings of often-repeated procedures), a "walk-away" timer which shuts off stirring and or heating after a preset interval (you can finally leave that digestion to finish on its own), a diode - which indicates if temperature readings are from the heating surface or from the external probe (in solution), and a stirring "pause" button - which allows quick vessel changeover.

Hot Plate models have displays indicating plate temperature, or solution temperature when used with the external probe. Stirring Hot Plate models have both temperature and rpm displays. All units' displays indicate error codes and calibration modes, as well as the various temperature settings. All units are available with a seamless white ceramic top plate for quick heat-up and maximum heat transfer, and the ceramic material stays flat regardless of heat settings. These plates are chemically resistant and easy to clean. The brilliant white color aids in the visibility of color-metric changes. The 7.5 x 7.5" models are also available with an aluminum top plate, offering truly even heating over the entire plate. Temperature range for ceramic models is ambient 41F to 698F (+ 5C to 370C); aluminum units are ambient 41F to 572F (+5C to 300C).

The hot plate stirrers incorporate a powerful rare-earth magnet mounted on a high torque motor. Motor speed is electronically controlled by the proprietary StirTrac system, offering many benefits hard to find in this price range. Stirring speed stays at the set point regardless of viscosity changes to the solution. Stir bar decoupling is a thing of the past, and users enjoy fine control of slow speeds. The powerful motor allows quick start-up, provides a powerful vortex, and prevents slow speed "lurching". Speed ranges for all models is 50 to 1200rpm. All models shown are 120V, 60Hz. Other voltages are available.

The Economical Small, 6 x 6 (15.2 x 15.2cm), model is perfect for the budget conscious classroom, clinic or lab. The Medium, 12 x 12" (31 x 31cm), or Large, 12 x 24" (31 x 61cm), top plate surfaces accommodate up to 40 lb (18kg) loads, and all three models have stainless steel cases which provide optimum strength for heavy loads.

The temperature range is 100F to 700F (38C to 371C). Aluminum top plates outperform other materials, providing superior temperature uniformity and stability. At 212F (100C), theSmall model offers 4.3F ( 2.4C) uniformity and 5.4F ( 3.0C) stability, theMedium model offers 7.2F ( 4.0C) uniformity and 5.4F ( 3.0C) stability, and theLarge model 18F ( 10.0C) uniformity and 6.3F ( 3.5C) stability. Due to the high wattage draw, the Large unit is not supplied with cord nor plug, and must be connected through electrical conduit fittings. The Small and Medium units are supplied with cord and plug. All units are 120V. Recommended for use with glass vessels only.

This hot plate is UL-listed explosionproof for Class I and Group D atmospheres. Please contact customer service for a complete list of applicable atmospheres. Thermostatic safety is set at 469F (243C) for added protection. Temperature range is 100F to 428F (38C to 220C) and the unit maintains temperature within 9.9F ( 5.5C).

The corrosion-resistant steel case is easily cleaned and maintained, and adds to the strength of the unit, accommodating up to 25-lb (11.3kg) loads. A cast aluminum top plate provides maximum heat transfer for excellent temperature uniformity ( 11.7F or 6.5C), and the sealed aluminum housing contains and protects controls from explosive atmospheres. Supplied without cord or plug, this unit must be connected with electrical conduit fittings. 5Amps/600Watts. 120V.

In development over two years, and representing a significant improvement in safety, performance and value, these redesigned Cimarec hot plates and hot plate stirrers feature a new digital display, conveying much more information than a simple pilot light. Temperature settings are adjustable in 9F (5C) increments from ambient plus 41F to 1004F (5C to 540C), depending on model. Microprocessor-controlled feedback technology maintains consistent, repeatable temperature settings (ideal for labs that perform repetitive procedures) and allows the use of metal vessels or sand baths. Hot Surface Alert safety systems help to protect users from accidental burns. Bright red warning lights signal when heating surface is above 122F (50C), and the digital display flashes "HOT" - "OFF" when heating is turned off, until heating surface is below a cool 122F (50C).

The seamless reflective white ceramic top enhances sample visibility and provides an easy-to-clean and alkali / acid resistance surface. Flat top and high-wattage heating elements (wire-wound mica element) combine to provide superior heating transfer and fast time-to-boil. Integral ring-stand holder accommodates 1/2" (1.3cm) diameter support rod. Rugged low-profile cast aluminum body provides stability and durability. The hot plate stirrer includes a more powerful motor, which prevents slow speed lurching and allows operation in high viscosity solutions (400rpm at 350 centepoise). Exclusive StirTrac technology keeps stirring speed at set point regardless of change in viscosity, provides a stir brake that stops the stir bar from any speed, and provides fine control at slow speeds. The stirring range is a wide 50 to 1200rpm.

Three sizes offer flexibility from microscale chemistries to larger vessels. Sample load capacities are 35 lb (15.9kg) on 10 x 10" (25.4 x 25.4cm) models, 25 lb (11.3kg) on 7 x 7" (17.8 x 17.8cm) models and 15 lb (6.8kg) on 4 x 4" (10.2 x 10.2cm) models. All models supplied with detachable cord. Stirring models include 2 x 3/8" (51 x 9.5mm) TFE-coated stir bar; 4 x 4" units include 1" (25.4mm) stir bar.
