The Cameo 25GAS sterile syringe filter is recommended for sterilizing biological fluids, serum, or media additives, and for filtering probe solutions. Both the 25GAS and the nonsterile 30GA are excellent for the filtration of tissue culture media, and their high throughput characteristics make them a good choice for sterile or nonsterile clarification of even the most viscous proteinaceous solutions. The 25GAS (25mm) and 30GA (30mm) filters contain a 1.0 micron borosilicate glass prefilter and Cameo's Osmonics™ cellulose acetate membrane filter specifically designed to combine maximum sample recovery and high throughput when filtering or sterilizing viscous proteinaceous solutions. The membrane and prefilter are contained in a nonautoclavable acrylic housing(25GAS), or an autoclavable polypropylene housing(30GA) without adhesives. In both the 25GAS and the 30GA the membrane is supported bi-directionally, allowing both sample aspiration and injection. All units are labeled with pore size and filter type for quick identification, and all are tested to verify the integrity of the filter and the housing. Holdup volume of<60µL and sample volume of<150mL.
MSI® Acetate Syringe Filters are designed to remove particulates from and sterilize proteinaceous samples. They are ideal for applications that require maximum sample recovery from a standard or presterilized syringe filter because of their extremely low hold-up volume and negligible protein-binding characteristics. Each unit includes a MSI® Osmonics™ cellulose acetate membrane filter, which is designed to eliminate the possibility of poppingť the filter.
The 25mm25AS and the 30mm30A filters feature bi-directional support of the filter membrane, thus allowing both sample aspiration and injection. They are individually labeled with pore size and filter type for quick identification. The 3mm3A and3AS filters have nylon housings and are autoclavable. 25AS filters have acrylic housings and are not autoclavable. 30A filters have polypropylene housings and are autoclavable. All AS filters are individually packaged and sterilized by gamma radiation. Every filter is tested to verify the integrity of the filter and housing.
